Petroleum Consulting Services
RobSearch Australia provides a comprehensive range of consulting
services to the petroleum sector, in conjunction with its associates in
Australia and overseas. Since its inception in 1970, the firm has enjoyed a
particularly close relationship with the Australian oil and gas industry. It
has carried out a wide range of geological studies, and prepared numerous
independent reports for corporate and statutory purposes, including
prospectuses and information memoranda related to acquisitions, options,
disposals and mergers.
The company's technical capabilities were extended in the late-1970s to
embrace reservoir and petroleum engineering for new discoveries and already
producing fields. Simultaneous extension into industry economics and
analysis enabled the company to undertake independent valuations of
tenements with potential or actual production.
Petroleum sector capabilities were reinforced substantially in mid-1990,
by the merger with Sydney Resources Consultants. The Principals of this
group brought to Robertson Australia their extensive experience in the
petroleum industry in Australasia and overseas, gained over more than 25
years through earlier consulting activities with J. M. Blumer & Associates
and Asia Pacific Petroleum Consultants, and in a variety of corporate roles
in exploration, production and engineering companies.
The company has provided its petroleum services for exploration and
producing interests throughout Australia, and in New Zealand, Papua New
Guinea, South East Asia and North America.
Clients include petroleum companies (both private and public sector),
investment companies, banks and other financial institutions, partnerships,
joint ventures, government agencies and trans-national agencies.
In addition to its wide range of single-client assignments, the company
has produced a number of substantial multi-client studies, both on its own
account and jointly with Robertson Research International of the UK.
These have included two phases of study of the North West Shelf area, and
of the oil & gas basins of Australia.
